Classes
Emanyata is a NECTA registered secondary school offering Form I to Form IV education to girls and boys. Our academic curricular and non-curricular activities support our overall ambitions of:
- Advancing the writting and speaking English skills of all students to the level of fluency
- Having more girls recognize the real-world benefits of improving their capabilities
- Introducing more girls and boys to the sciences, subjects that have the potential to inspire students and further enhance their employment potential
In Form I and II students our curriculum is formed by the following 10 subjects:
- Kiswahili
- English
- Mathematics
- Agriculture
- Geography
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Civics
- History
The agriculture and science classes are supported with practical skills development in the garden, on the farm and in the science laboratory.
On completion of Form II, through examination results and teachers guidance, students choose 7 from the original 10 curricular subjects to continue with in Form III and IV. We encourage all students to continue with as many subjects as they are able, particularly the sciences, to not only drive them forward but prepare them for a technologically driven future and enhanced employment opportunities. Remedial learning opportunities and guidance/counselling is available for those who struggled through Primary school, with basic literacy and numeracy support.
